The SlingPlayer Mobile for Blackberry will be presented at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on January 7th-10th.
The SlingBix and the SlingPlayer applications lets you watch and control your TV deviced (TV, DVD, DVR, Satellite Receiver, Cable Set-Top Box, VCR, etc.) from your Blackberry via internet.
In other words, you can watch your local news, record your favorite rograms on your DVR, view your DVD movie or whatever from home while you are on the road (or just in the kitchen if you want).
The SlingPlayer was previouly avilable for Mac, Windows, Windows mobile, Symbian OS and Palm OS, now it's ready for BlackBerrry.

How to insert a pause or wait in a phone number

In order to insert a pause in a phone number, simply write a comma [,]
To insert a wait, simply hit exclamation mark [!]
When you dial a phone number that contains a pause, the device pauses for two seconds before it dials the remaining numbers. When dialing a phone number that contains a wait, the device displays a Dial Extension screen prompting you to either dial the remaining numbers, skip the remaining numbers, or end the call.

There you can see a lot of information regarding signal strength for each specific carrier in any place in the USA. (they will soon be launching phase 2 of the site, which will include Canada, UK, Germany, Japan, and Australia, as well as other improvements to the site, like a more complete carrier list). The site plots ths signals on a google map, and you can contribute to improve the information by providing your own signal.
Since the information is community driven, you know you can trust much more than to the cell phone salesmen.
